GENERAL SHIP INFORMATION
The MV Princesse de Provence is a deluxe vessel built in 1992 and refurbished in 2005. She has a light and airy ambience and is distinguished by staterooms on her upper deck that have full-length French doors that open into your cabin (cabins on the lower deck have large windows). Original works of art can be found throughout the vessel.
She has a total of 70 cabins carrying 148 passengers all of which are outside, configured as twins and identical in size. Each is beautifully appointed and features built-in closets, desk, shower and toilet, telephone and three-channel radio. A hairdryer and terry robes are available upon request. Bedding is a European style duvet with feather pillows and eiderdowns (synthetic materials available upon request). No smoking is allowed in the cabins, restaurant or corridors.
The vessel features six meals daily (breakfast, morning bouillon, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and midnight snack). All meals are single seating in a non-smoking dining room with five-course evening meals (up to nine courses on selected nights). Additionally, there is a lounge, two bars, beauty salon, boutique, laundry, safe deposit boxes as well as an infirmary with a qualified doctor on board. The Sun Deck has plenty of deck chairs and blankets, if needed.
Captain’s Welcome and Captain’s Farewell Receptions are provided as well as nightly entertainment and dancing. There is one crew member for every 2.5 passengers providing the best crew-to-passenger ratio of any river vessel. This allows for a high level of service as well as sumptuous food, served course by course for the evening meal. English language announcements, menus and daily programs are provided.
